Her Body Was Bent From Starvation… But She Still Walked Toward Me, Begging for a Second Chance!
Yesterday, we spotted this poor dog while we were out. She could barely walk and was nothing but skin and bones. When I called her, she tried to come toward me. Every step looked painful, but she refused to give up. I gently approached her and gave her some love. Thankfully, she was incredibly gentle and sweet.

I offered her a little food to see if she could eat. She ate, but we couldn’t give her much at once. She had clearly been starving for a very long time. Her fragile body showed just how much she had suffered. I couldn’t leave her there to die alone. So we made the decision to rescue her. We rushed her to the nearest vet for an examination.
For now, she can drink water and is receiving Mondex powder. She is also covered in ticks and needs further tests. The vet will check her blood for parasites and other diseases. We named this brave little girl Blair. Blair is showing small but hopeful signs of recovery.
She is slowly starting to eat again. Today, we cooked chicken broth to comfort her. It will also help give her some much-needed strength. She is drinking water on her own, so she doesn’t need an IV yet. We added Mondex powder to help with her severe dehydration. We also bought food for Blair and our other rescued dogs.
Blair is still extremely weak and fragile. Once she is stronger, she will undergo blood parasite testing and CVC. For now, we are focusing on food, hydration, warmth, and rest. Every little improvement gives us hope for her future. We will take her back to the vet when she is strong enough. Blair is fighting with everything she has to survive.
Every bit of love and care could help give Blair a second chance. Blair is eating well, and her body is adjusting beautifully. She weighed only 8 kilos when we rescued her. I’m so excited to see how much weight she has gained by Sunday.
Tomorrow is her follow up check up and lab tests. She can now stand straight, without falling! I am just so heartbroken while watching this, I cant stop crying, imagine how hard it is for them. We brought Blair back to the vet for her follow-up check-up.
She had a CBC and blood parasite test. Sadly, Blair tested positive for Babesia. Ehrlichia and Anaplasma are also starting to develop. Her blood test showed that she is anemic. She will need medication for the next month. After that, she will return for another CBC and parasite test. It’s been two weeks since Blair was rescued.
What changes have you noticed in her so far? Please say hi to Blair so she knows how many people love her. Blair has reached her one-month recovery milestone! Can you spot the difference?
Our brave girl has completed one month of medication. She was treated for anemia and blood parasites. Look closely at her before-and-after photos. Can you see how much she has changed? We have noticed many small but meaningful improvements. But we want to know what you notice too. Blair is now due for her follow-up check-up.
